Are Treadmills An Effective Fitness Tool?

Posted on December 10, 2021 at 11:14 am

When you think about indoor fitness, such as going to the gym, the first thing that generally comes to mind is using a treadmill. But are treadmills the best way to keep fit indoors?

Treadmills are an amazing tool to use for fitness in your lower body and stamina. If you want to work on your leg muscles or stamina then a treadmill will be your best friend. Most offer a range of different speeds allowing you to go from walking to running, as well as tracking your distance. Some may even allow you to add an incline to help your body to work harder.

However, this is not the best fitness machine for all-around fitness. You will find that this does not help with your arm muscles, so you will need to find another method for this.

So keep in mind, treadmills can be extremely useful, but you may need to use other tools as well for full-body fitness.

Keeping fit in the summer months is the easiest. With the nice weather making it possible for you to head outside to complete your exercise. So there is no wonder why people tend to gain weight and struggle to keep fit during the winter months. So, today we are going to share with you some of the ways you can keep yourself fit during the colder winter months.

Invest In A Gym Membership
One of the best ways that you can ensure you keep yourself fit during the cooler winter months is by investing in a gym membership. These gyms are indoors, so you will not need to worry about the cold weather affecting your ability to exercise. Gyms can also offer classes that help those who are too sure on the best way to exercise to get themself in the best position possible. The opportunities are endless with a gym membership, making it an amazing investment for the winter months.

Embrace The Weather
Another way to keep yourself fit during the cooler winter months is to simply embrace the weather. Yes, it may be cooler, but this means you won’t get as hot and sweaty. You will be able to do more before you overheat. So embrace the coldness and enjoy exercising outside.

Choose A New Method
If you have been someone who sticks to one method of exercise, the winter months may be the time to try something new. A good method of exercise to try during the winter is swimming. This is an indoor method of exercise that will help you to keep fit and warm at the same time.

These are just a few ways that you can keep yourself fit during the winter months. There is no excuse for you to lose your fitness regime due to the season.

Why are football talent scouts so underrated?

Posted on October 14, 2021 at 12:34 pm

We talk a lot about footballers and the natural ability they possess. We see huge fees being handed out to football agents, which has been a hot topic in the news recently. That said, football talent scouts don’t necessarily get the credit they deserve. Let’s think about it, if Liverpool sign a new first-team player who performs well, Klopp is going to get a lot of praise. But who would be the individual to scout the player? It would most likely be the team of scouts, led by Russ Richardson. This is not a name most fans will be familiar with, but his job and the rest of his team’s job is very important.

Therefore, football talent scouts deserve a great deal of praise when the right players join a club, perform well and settle in nicely. It is certainly not an easy job to do, which should be recognised. One of the many reasons football scouts have been deemed underrated is because they are largely anonymous. The general public doesn’t get too much insight into their jobs or what it entails other than watching players in action on a Saturday afternoon, but that should change.

We live in the age of social media, so if one person gets recognition then why can’t others? Football talent scouts are essentially middlemen between the manager and player, finding talent to support the team’s needs and demands every transfer window. If we stay with the Liverpool example I touched on earlier, we know what Klopp wants before he does and this helps them look for certain players who would fit perfectly at Anfield.

There have been certain key examples in recent years where a football talent scout has brought in a player for a small fee who has then turned out to be one of the best players in their respective league. For example, when Klopp was Borussia Dortmund manager he signed Shinji Kagawa from Cerezo Osaka for £350,000. He then went on to make 133 appearances for the German club, scoring 41 goals and providing 37 assists. If it wasn’t for the scouts at Dortmund identifying Kagawa’s potential, he may have never made it as big as he did.

Another example is when Arsene Wenger signed N’Golo Kante from Le Havre for £5.6 million. Kante had a number of clubs interested in him but Wenger’s knowledge and faith in the midfielder convinced him. We need to start recognising the talent, interactions and ability of footballer scouts because they can be crucial to a team’s success. If you’re thinking of becoming a football scout, there are plenty of scouting schools out there, and it can be a very well paying job with huge rewards!

How Football Scouts Build Their Careers

Posted on October 12, 2021 at 12:55 pm

Some people think football scouts have one of the most exciting jobs around. In many ways they do, getting to pursue something that they love on a daily basis. What people do not always see is the hard work and commitment that goes into becoming a successful, well known football scout who gets hired for the jobs that they want to do. Crafting a reputation for yourself in this industry and making a name for yourself is often all about finding your niche and discovering the part of football scouting that you want to do.

In order to get your career off the ground, having an excellent knowledge of football on a tactical level is an essential prerequisite. This is what scouts are fundamentally employed to do: to find the right people for teams that will fit in and get the job done so they can score more goals and win more matches. There are also other types of scouting that focus even more on tactics and some scouts will purely look at how teams play and provide reports into this. Therefore an excellent level of understanding is a very good place to start.

From there, it is time to begin thinking about how you will work and who you will be working for. Some scouts work on a freelance basis, while others are employed by football clubs. Your choice will probably depend on lots of different factors, from the amount you will charge to the flexibility you want in your employment, vs how much security you want. It can be a tough industry to find security in, as many jobs will come and go, and many will involve travelling and working unsociable hours. The football scouts who make it in the long term will be those who are willing to put in the work at the beginning.

Think about what aspects of football you are most interested in as well. If you are interested in the tactics, you may be a scout who wants to observe teams and give feedback on tactics. If you are someone who thrives on the game itself and would relish the opportunity to find the best players, you may be interested in working with a club to onboard new players. If you like building relationships, you may also want to represent a player and help negotiate contracts and positions for them. You also need to be clear on where and when you want to work. Some scouts are international while others are based in one location – think about how much you want to travel and if you want this to be part of your future career. Whether you work for yourself, a scouting agency, a club, or in another capacity, many football scouts use directories and advertising sites to find their jobs. As a new scout this is a good way to look for junior positions and to get your name out there, so that potential employers can see what you can do and what experience you have.

Posting a Job Listing for a Football Scout

Posted on August 5, 2021 at 12:46 pm

Football scouts have unique and specialist skillsets and you don’t generally find football scouting jobs listed on regular job listing websites. Recruiting a football scout is a more specialist endeavour, which requires the use of the right websites and making sure the job listing itself is suitable when communicating with a football scout. Getting the job advertisement right will help to recruit the right person for the role and will be part of the process of attracting them to the position.

The are websites where football scouts can be recruited directly. These may be directory type websites, where you can find the details of scouts who work in your area, or equally, post job listing so that scouts can get in touch directly with you in response to your ad. The first part of the process involves identifying the right kind of website for advertising for a football scouting role – the second part is about writing the ideal job ad.

Good websites will usually be those that offer a good user experience for you. This might mean being able to browse football scouts by federation, as well as by other criteria that are relevant to your specific role. You might also want to generally browse the scouts who are listed so having a directory type of setup is always a good feature. Thus will help you to connect with scouts in a wide range of locations to suit your purpose.

You may prefer to post a job listing so that qualified football scouts can get in touch with you directly regarding the post. If so, there are some particular details you should include to make the experience of finding a football scout easier and to attract the right kinds of people to the open position.

Firstly, you should always include the fee as one of the first things in your listing (many websites will include this at the top anyway). They will need to know if it is a salaried position or if they will be paid for producing a report, or in some other way. You should also make it clear what the role will be doing. Will it be analysing opposition teams and their tactics, and looking at the players they have on their team? Will it involve working with video footage? Or perhaps it will include producing reports? Or perhaps it will involve working directly with one particular football team on their strategy and player recruitment.

Make it clear how much experience you will require if this is something that is applicable. Most football scouts will have their own niche anyway and it will be clear quickly whether they have performed similar roles before. If the role will allow a scout to use your databases, this is also something that is worth making clear. It is also important to communicate whether ticketing to games will be covered, which is often part of the listing is a scout is being recruited to attend games, rather than just looking at video footage.

Now, can we expect the football to come home to England? Looking at how our team has played throughout their Euro matches, there is a very high chance that we will in fact win this tournament, making it a moment in history to remember.

But, do not set your hopes too high, as if you have been following the Italy matches, you will see that they have also been playing astonishingly, meaning it will be a challenging match for both teams! The winning team will depend on luck on the day, all we can hope is that it does in fact come home!
