Sports in 2021 – What Is Expected?

Posted on February 16, 2021 at 4:42 pm

2021, the year is we know it is very uncertain. It is very difficult to say what to expect throughout this year with no one truly knowing when the current national lockdown is going to be lifted. But fear no more, we are still going to share with you what we expect to see with regards to sports in 2021!

Unfortunately, we currently expect that sports will not be allowed live audiences for a while. That is until people have been vaccinated at least. So for now we expect that sports will need to be watched from your own home until the time comes that stadiums are able to open to the public again.

With sports, it is likely for us all to see an increase in the number of people participating in sports. With boredom kicking in, people will want to head out and take part in something where they can interact with others. Organised sports is one way we can achieve this.

Personally, we expect to see an increase in the number of sales regarding sports equipment too. Especially shoes. This is due to the number of people who are heading out to take part in sports. With a lot of people taking up the opportunity to go out to complete a daily exercise, running is becoming a popular choice.

It is without a doubt that over the next current year we are all going to see a huge increase in the number of people partaking in sports. They are going to become more popular, but whether this continues after lockdown is lifted no one will know. It seems as if people are doing this to pass time, so once we are all back at work it may decrease once again. We all still hope that stadiums will open for the public soon, as nothing beats watching live sports.

What Is Considered A Sport?

Posted on December 10, 2020 at 3:56 pm

For some, it is hard to grasp what is considered a sport, with your first thoughts always turning towards football or other ball sports. But these are not the only activities which are considered sports. Today, we are going to show you what is considered a sport, helping you to understand that there is a sport for everyone.

To being with, it is important to know that a sport does not need to involve a ball as we all assume. A sport can be anything which keeps you active and allow you to keep fit. An activity which most do not consider a sport is dance. Any form of dance is in fact considered a sport because it keeps you active. Alongside this, running or swimming on your own are also considered sports. Swimming laps of a swimming pool is considered a sport even though it is so simple.

Stretching: Why it’s now more important than ever

Posted on November 11, 2017 at 10:46 pm

It’s a well-known fact that you should stretch your muscles before you work out, and right now, and with the weather getting much colder, it’s more important now. If you were to jump straight into a walk, jog or sprint without stretching your legs, upper body or arms, you may feel a bit fatigued in the morning. Nobody wants to wake up and head into work feeling sore, so always make it a priority to stretch out before and after your workout routine. Whether you’re lifting weights doing some cardio work or working those abs, stretching will be key to success, but you also have to give your body time to rest and recover too, so a combination of working out, stretching and relaxing is a very good mix. Make sure you review your workout routine if you’re not stretching enough, otherwise you’ll forever feel sore and your body will feel decades older than it actually is!

The best way to motivate you to train for a half marathon is to sign up for one. Once you have signed up, you have no excuse for not meeting your goal.

Training for a half marathon takes time, usually, a 12-week program works best. The 12 weeks will involve jogging, running, sprint training, core weights and yoga. By incorporating all of these types of exercise will help maximise your fitness, improve your stamina and overall health.

Another great way to stay focused and motivated is to get a friend to join in with you. You can train together and encourage each other throughout the journey. Running a half marathon is a fantastic achievement for yourself and if you can raise money for charity at the same time, it makes it that bit more advantageous too.

If you feel you are not ready to take part in a half marathon, try signing up for some fun runs first to help get you started and in the swing of things.

Your body requires all types of nutrients to survive, and while you up your level of exercise, your food consumption should follow. Eating too little, will starve your body of energy and cause you to fatigue early and generally decrease your health.  A balanced diet in combination with regular cardio and strength training will see your body at the fittest and healthiest it has ever been.
